Sask Valley Refrigeration provides a
PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE PROGRAM
designed for the specific needs of our
customers equipment.

Maintenance is provided to Refrigeration
and/ or HVAC equipment by a certified technician.

benefits of preventative maintenance:

Refrigeration equipment will operate more efficiently and fewer hours per day. This means reduced electrical consumption, which means less money spent.
Reduces emergency service costs by resolving many potential problems prior to equipment failure.
Extends the operating life of equipment.
Maintenance customers receive a reduced labor rate on maintenance and emergency service work.

maintenance will often include:

Equipment Operation Check

Compressors, valves, motors and controllers all working properly. Temperatures in proper range.

Air Flow

Air cooled condenser and evaporators are checked and cleaned for proper heat transfer. Depending on equipment location, chemical cleaning may be required. Return air filters are replaced and free cooling screens are cleaned for RTU’s, (heat/ cooling units).

Drive Belts and Bearings

Most exhaust fans and RTU’s depend on a belt to move air. Scheduled inspection and replacement can prevent this simple component from causing an after hours service call. Proper lubrication is also very important in preventing early/ unnecessary equipment failure.

Winter Operation

Outdoor refrigeration equipment uses valves and heaters to maintain proper operation during our extreme low temperature winters. It is important to check prior to winter to prevent major equipment failure or product loss.

Refrigerant Leak Check

We use the most advanced technology to check systems for even the smallest leaks. On a larger system an early leak detection can often save more than the cost of the entire inspection.

Door Gaskets and Hardware

Gaskets for walk in box doors, refrigerated cases, prep line drawers, are checked for condition. Door closing hardware, and general condition for walk in coolers and freezers is accessed.

Ice Machines

Ice machines are checked for cleanliness and operation. ice makers require cleaning to operate properly and for an extended period of time. An ice maker may appear clean but still requires periodic chemical cleaning to prevent possibly fatal mineral build up on evaporator plates. Some machines will require more frequent cleanings due to environment. Water filters are replaced as required.
